Life Is Too Short

The Grim Reaper is a common personification of death. He is a reminder that because life is fleeting, and death can come at any time, we should live each day to the fullest. With the day-to-day stress of school and work, it is easy to forget what is truly important in life: friend, family, and making time to relax. In my photo, the Reaper (with traditional black cloak and scythe) overlooks the scene of a murder. This sculpture is made of bake-it-yourself clay, cardboard, scotch tape, metal wire, aluminum foil, two kinds of black paper, glue, black hemp string, bristle board, black acrylic paint, fine black thread, and three small black metal keys.
